Starting Saturday, September 27th, the haunted Variety Arts Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles will be the site of Blackout: Elements.  Last year Golden State Haunts and Events called Blackout “the most f’ed up haunted house”.  We meant this in an endearing manner of course.  This year Blackout: Elements promises visitors a longer, more intimate and significantly more intense experience.  Will the extreme energy that is sure to be stirred up by housing such an event stir up the spirits that linger in this 90 year building?  What will be scarier, experiencing Blackout itself or running into one of the VAT’s ghostly residents by yourself?  We for sure can’t wait to find out.  Blackout: Elements will be joining The Purge: Fear the Night making the location a haunted house destination.  Elements will be based on the four elements.  For those of you who may not know that’s earth,, wind, fire and water.  Read the press release for more details.

Press Release:

The Extreme Theater Event of the Year” (New York Times)

returns with a national tour of a brand new show,

BLACKOUT:elements

After five years of revolutionizing the haunted house industry, BLACKOUT will premiere a new type of horror theater this fall:  BLACKOUT:elements.  The immersive performance takes inspiration from the four basic elements, thrusting BLACKOUT fans into an intense world of fear unlike anything they’ve experienced before.  After signing a waiver, all audience members must walk through the experience completely alone.  Immersing themselves in the elaborately designed set pieces, audience members are forced to interact with the characters in a series of twisted and petrifying scenarios.

Longer, more intimate, and significantly more intense; BLACKOUT:elements takes terror to a whole new level.   Each experience is approximately 30 minutes per person.  Tickets start at $65 and can be purchased through the website:  www.blackouthh.com
