James Cullen Bressack’s Hate Crime, the ultraviolent and disturbing film about meth addicted, uber neo-nazi’s will be coming to several festivals in whatever area you may be in and this will be one movie you won’t want to miss. That is if you can handle its violent and disturbing scenes as well as its controversial subject matter. If you pull back the layers though, you’ll see this film delivers a strong message.
HATE CRIME is the second feature film by 20 year old James Cullen Bressack, his first being the Amazon horror best seller MY PURE JOY which was released last year. Despite its name, Hate Crime is a labor of love from a dedicated group of people looking to make something different. Hate Crime is a violent, realistic portrayal of one of our worst nightmares, being attacked in our home. The movie has been extremely well received by over 70+ reviewers, including some of the biggest reviewers in the horror film community. There is a ton of press and interviews of this film and tons of people eagerly awaiting to see it. The Trailer managed to receive 200k views in 2 weeks time! Our cast and crew poured themselves into making something unlike anything anyone has seen.
We have just begun our festival submissions and have already won Best Picture and Best Director at the Underground Monster Carnival Festival in Oklahoma. We are also an Official Selection in Grimmfest 2012 in Manchester, U.K. along with the Pollygrind film festival in Las Vegas where we won “best transgression film” and “most horrifying film” Killer Film Festival in MA where we won “audience award” and the Late Night Horror Film Festival in California as well as the Jersey Gore Film Festival where we are nominated for “best Director” and “best picture” Hate Crime is still seeking US distribution.
